auto gain and auto exposure with vb6

Can someone show me how to set auto gain and auto exposure on and off with vb6 and the 31bf03 camera? It's done in a sample but the program is so convoluted that I can't follow the logic.

Just a few lines of code is all I need.

the simplest way is
ICImagingControl1.ExposureAuto = True

With IC Imaging Control 3.0 there may is an error. ExposureAutoAvailable returns false in any cases. Thus write to support@imagingcontrol.com so i can give a free update to you.

The updated control fixed that problem -- AND an even more serious problem. So serious, in fact, I was beginning to think that I wasn't going to be able to use these cameras for my application!

All users of this active x control should be notified of the upgrade! Or better yet, have a "download software updates" page on your website like everyone else does. (If you have one, I can't find it.)
