Snapped Image not synchronized with flash

Hello everybody,

we are using a switch which is controlled by the serial port and triggers both an Imaging Source Firewire Camera and an external flash device.

After correcting the voltage for the external trigger the trigger event finally makes us getting a snapped image. But there is not enough light inside the image. How do I get those two triggered events in sync?

Please let me know, which camera type and flash do you use.

The camera is of type BFWCAMVF-OEM (The Lieferschein says: "OEM-Version der DFK 21BF04").
The flash is a consumer flash made by Soligor.

Hello Sascha,

what about the exposure settings? What value is set? What is the required exposure time?
Are you sure, the flash produces enough light for your exposure time? Also what iris is set?

Apparently the reason for this malfunction was the flash - using another one everything works like a charm.
Nevertheless we'd like to thank you for your efforts.
