View Full Version : DFG/MC4 under linux

October 5, 2005, 15:42:11
I have the DFG/MC4 grabber card and I would like to use it on a linux system.
Unicap is installed and running.
now I started with the examples and especially raw_image.
Unfortunately I'm somehow not able to grab any live video. I get a grey image.

When asking for the selected mode I always get something about "Television".
Am I completely wrong, or how can I bring the raw_image example to dump a live image ?!

Is there something rotten in the linking ?

Ahh, and when speaking about the DFG/MC4. What is the 5th chinch connector for ? - All documentation here is only about 4 output connectors?
(Yes, I'm sure it is a DFG/MC4)

All the best,

ok, now some more details and with a normal user account here in the forum.

after calling unicap_open( .. )

I retrieve a list of 4 inputs
found input[0]: Television
found input[1]: Composite1
found input[2]: S-Video
found input[3]: Composite3

What I would like to know is, how can I choose between the different input channels ?!
Has anyone experience with that ?!

All the best,

Hello Marco,

i am afraid, this is the wong forum. You may post your request in the unicap forum:

The fifth connector is a I/O connector.
