View Full Version : Camera registers

I'm writing a custom application using C, so I can't use IC Imaging control libarary (there a reasons for that). I need to access camera registers directly.
I use DFK21.. and DFK31... cameras. I really appreciate if somebody can answer my questions:

1) Are cameras fully compliant with IIDC-1394 /DCAM spec (for example, here: http://www.cs.unc.edu/Research/stc/FAQs/1394Firewire/DCAM_Spec_V1_30.pdf)? Seems like so, because I can access and change registers values.

2) What is bit sequence of HI, LO registers (404h, 408h), i.e. bit 0 is Brightness, bit 1 is exposure, etc. What about bits 13-31 (404h) and 4-15, 18-31 (408h)?

3) What are inquire register offsets? Are 500h-530h standard? What about 534h and up?

4) Same for registers 800h and up

So far everything works just fine, however, I want to make sure that all camera functions are under control, because this camera is used for lighting measurements.
