I'm running your examples. I'm able to get live video, but the following line is returning false:

if( !m_VCDProp.isAutoAvailable( VCDID_Brightness ) )

Why?

I'm using a unibrain driver for my imitech camera.

Is there a better/cheaper driver for DCAM cameras that supports DirectShow?

The isAutoAvailable returns false, if the property is not available, that means it is not available through the used driver.
