View Full Version : Delphi EPrivileges

May 3, 2005, 09:37:51

I am using Delphi 4 on Windows XP and trying to modify the AVIPlayer sample as distributed with the Montivision development kit.

I have rebuilt a similar application but every time I am getting an EPrivilege error when I try and pause the video. Particularly when I try and access the time date format on the MVMediaSeeking component.

The compiled sample works as provided with the Dev Kit does not have these problems and runs fine on my system.

Any thoughts/ideas on how I can resolve this issue?

Hi E,

Maybe this is a problem with Delphi 4. The samples are complied with Delphi 6. Have you compiled the sample application and returns it the same errors. If not some code could be helpful. What about other interfaces?

I cannot compile the sample as it is requesting severl dcu files which I do not have.

I think this is part of a larger problem, when I try and interface with the other components in the sample application it is causing problems.

I will try and get hold of a newer version of Delphi.

Many Thanks,
