Changing filenames

Hi there,

I'm using a MV MotionDetection filter to trigger a MV Recording filter to save via an AVI MUX and a File Writer an avi file of the motion detected.

The question is:

If there's no motion detected - ie nothing is being written out the file - is there a way of changing the file writers filename without stopping the entire filter graph? Ideally, I'd like to have an avi filter per motion event detected.

Any ideas? There's a rumour that it's possible to disable branches of a graph under some circumstances. Is this correct and if so how do I do it?

Any help much appreciated - too little time, too few people etc.

PS - I know how to change the name of a file if the graphs stopped.

Hi Simon,

I think there is no way to do that with your configuration. We do have a splitted file writer filter which is able to do that. It is available as addon to the development kit.
