Capturing an AVI

Hello:

I would like to capture an AVI file and not use a codec (compressor).

In the sample apps it appears as if you must select a codec.

Is there a way to select "none" for compressor / codec so you get uncompressed video (and no delay in preview because the CPU is not tied up compressing)

Hello,

To save an uncompressed AVI file, you must pass the wanted color format to ICControl.AviStartCapture. For example:

ICControl.AviStartCapture(“test.avi”, “RGB24”)

Allowed color formats are:
RGB32
RGB24
RGB555
RGB565
RGB8
UYVY

To see results before programming you own application, compile an run the VB7/Demoapp sample.
