A library for controlling the Cameras you can find here:

A program for controlling the FireWire cameras you can find here:
www.sourceforge.net/projects/coriander

The Dxx FireWire cameras follow the IIDC-1394 ( DCAM ) standard. The Linux drivers for these cameras are Open Source.
