Hi,

I am using ICIMAGINGCONTROL.OCX succesfully with IEEE camera in VB 60.
Recently my project is to write application where I should use USB camera (Logitech Quickcam)
The problem is the camera is not recognized by IC (no device)
What is very strange that is if I start any of compiled sample program supplied on IC CD those program recognize my USB camera and they are working well, BUT if I recompile the same sample program and I start it program does not recognize the camera!
What I am doing badly???

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
George ('rugo')

George,

This is not very strange, because we differ between standard and professional version of IC Imaging Control. The standard version comes for free with a The Imaging Source video capture device like DFK 21F04. It can only communicate with The Imaging Source devices, thus it is for free.
The professional version can work with all WDM driven video capture devices, thus it comes not for free. The precompiled demo applications of IC Imaging Control are compiled with the professional version of IC Imaging control. Therefore they are able to recognize your USB web cam.
I assume, you have a standard version of IC Imaging Control.
