View Full Version : Capture events within image

Greetings -
Since IC was created for machine control, do you have a solution for watching video input for mostly static content for a significant change in content to then trigger storage of the video stream for say 30 seconds?

I am using the ActiveX control in VB6. I know how to control the video capture duration, I am more interested in comparing a frame to the previous frame for appropriate difference to trigger the avi file creation.

I may even be interested in looking/comparing at specifc regions of the images.

The control seems to be working well.

The Visual Basic sample “Advanced Image Processing” shows how to detect differences between images in a specific region.
To trigger an AVI capture on a detected motion, you need to stop the current live video and call AVICaptureStart. This call can take some seconds, before the AVI capture starts.
