NetworkSource again

Hello,

I have a filter that contains a NetworkSource component which receives a video stream from a NewtrokRenderer component. If the Video Stream format or size changes the NetworkSource component still thinks that it is receiving the old format/size. How do I keep the NetworkSource & Renderer in sync as far as the format/size of the stream is concerned. I have tried unloading the graph and restarting it but that did not do anything. The only way I get it to work is by Open the graph that contains the network source . Disconnecting all pins and reconnecting them again.

Hello,

As far as I know (and I'm no expert), you cannot change the media type of a filter connection in DirectShow once it is made. If you wish to do so, you have to disconnect and reconnect.
