special graphic functions

Hello,
i need a special function that gets 2 8bit(grayscale) imagedata (from 2 icimagingcontrol) and puts it into a (32 bit color) picturebox.
The first (8 bit imagedata) should be the red-imagedata of the rgb-picturebox and the second 8bit imagedata should be the green part of the picturebox.

Are there such functions available?

The resulting image could also be written into a third ic-control.

Or are there any other functions to combine 2 images in a fast way?

Hello,

There are no functions for such a special memcopy available. This job means, that the images have to be copied byte by byte from the source to the specified places on the target.

I think Visual Basic is too slow for this job. Therefore this should be done in a C++ DLL, that creates the image and passed it back to Visual Basic.
