I've been looking through the MemBufferCollection sample and managed to compile it and get it running. The problem I have is when I create a new project and use some of the supplied files I can't seem to get it to link properly. The error I get is:

--------------------Configuration: test - Win32 Release--------------------
Compiling...
setupDevice.cpp
E:\Program Files\The Imaging Source Europe GmbH\IC Imaging Control 1.41\Samples\VC6\Common\setupDevice.cpp(194) : fatal error C1010: unexpected end of file while looking for precompiled header directive
Error executing cl.exe.

I'm trying to use the setupDevice header and sample code supplied. Could you please help with what I'm not doing correctly. I'm using a Win32 Application project - the MemBufferCollection example code uses a Win32 Console Application I think - I'm not sure why this one links and my one doesn't. Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks in advance,

James

Hello James,

the error message means, that the file "stdafx.h" was not included into the "setupDevice.cpp". Just add the line

#include "stdafx.h"

to the "setupDevice.cpp" and your project will compile.
