Hello,
While writing to an .avi file, I want to pause writing and save some bitmaps and then start again writing to the same .avi file ,i.e. appending to the .avi file. Is it possible?

Hello,

With the current and the next version of IC, this is not possible.
You will have to write the code for writing images to an AVI file using the DirectShow API.
