Hello!

I have a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 and I would like to ask which is the best way of programming in visual c++ if I have this problem: Grab the images from the camera in real time, edge detection or color segmentation like recognizing for example two dots on a little car (Nikko IRacer) on the picture and determine the car position and the orientation on a field. This is the final goal, so I've just thought asking you which is the best (and the easiest) way of it. I tried TRIPOD (template for real time image processing by Prof. Paul OH), but it doesn't work with this camera.
I'm a very starter programmer in Visual C++ so I would be very happy for any kind of help. (Or sample codes from basics...:)

Thanks, Robert

Hello

If your camera is supplied with a WDM driver, you can use IC Imaging Control to acquire the images. You can download the trial version of IC Imaging Control at http://www.imagingcontrol.com/ic/downloads/trial/

With the installation comes a “samples/vc6” directory. Try the sample “callback”.
