Hello,

My problem is that the Brightness Contrast Settings of Videoproc Amp
Property Pages of my vb6-directshow application are not saved. So they
attain their default values each time PC is restarted.

Please help.

Can anyone let me know Where does Directx8 save property pages settings? I
want to access the Brightness and contrast settings of Videoproc property
pages settings from my vb6-directshow code.

This is for a video capture application.

Thanks,
Hakimi

Hello Hakimi,

DirectX does not provide any methods to save the camera and video properties. Some WDM driver save the last set properties. The save way is to write own code for saving these properties.

Hello Stefan,

Thanks for your reply.

Is it possible in VB6 or I have to go for c++?

Can you please help me out for writting the code for saving and restoring property pages?

Thanks,
Hakimi

Hakimi,

With IC Imaging Contro comes the DCam sample, that saves and loads the camera and video properties to and from a file. This properties are retrieved and set with IC Imaging Controls properties. The reading and saving of these values to and from a file is simple Visual Basic or C++ code.
If you not use IC Imaging Control, then you need a IAMVideoProcAmp Interface and a IAMCameraControl Interface. Please refer to the DirectX SDK to read more about this. Please understand that i can not do DirectX support.
