We split our production environment off from our development and training environments, so that our ongoing development, OS patches and upgrades, etc.. don't effect our production environment until everything is fully tested and read to go.
After reading the license agreement it wasn't clear to me if we can do this with a single server license. Again, we would have only one production server, the other servers are used as part of the development and migration.
