AVI File Size

Hello,

I need to start an AVI Capture, but I need to know when the saved file reaches a specified size (I need to create a set of files to be stored on a CD).

Is there a way to know the file size when an AVI Capture is running?

Hello,

You could setup a timer. In the timer event handler sub, you check the size of the file and stop AVI capturing, if the file is bigger than the desired file size. This is the only way i know to control the file size for AVI capture, because the used codec does not tell the program, how big the generated files are.
