View Full Version : How to integrate filters into Delphi

I have a DirectShow application using Delphi and I'd like to use the Deinterlacing Filter. Is it possible for me to integrate this fully into my application? Or would I have to distribute the .ax file and register it on a users system?
How would I integrate it into Delphi?

Yes, you have to redistribute the *.ax file and some other runtime DLLs. There is a section in the online help that explains which files have to be redistributed.

How do I attach the filters to my FilterGraph in my Delphi application? I know how to attach one that's been registered on the system, but can I just add it to my code directly without registering it?

You can load the *.ax using LoadLibrary(...) and get the filter object by using DllGetClassObject(IN REFCLSID rclsid, IN REFIID riid, OUT LPVOID FAR* ppv).
