Can somebody advise about the best settings on my laptop. My laptop is a 1GHz Compaq laptop. I connect my Sony DV camera with firewire to my laptop en want to use the OCX to display live video in Powerpoint. I use the control in a VBA form.
What I see is that there sometimes is a delay in showing the live video. With quick camera moves there are stripes in the image for about a second. Can I do something to improve this?

kind regards

Hello,

The width and height of the frame in which the video is going to be displayed in PowerPoint has to match the width and height of the video format selected in imaging control.

Are there also minimal requirements for amount of video memory, speed of the FSB, CPU-speed, video-board, etc.
Do I need certain settings in Windows XP Pro to achieve optimal performance?

Hello,

On a Sony PIII 800 VAIO laptop, you can see a real live display using a DV device with out any problems. You mave to make sure that the power management is set to maximum speed. You should also verify that the hardware accelleration for the graphics card is turned on.
