I'm using the trial version of the IC Imaging control.
I have connected my Sony camera to my PC and the image is displayed correctly in the IC Imaging control.
However there seems to be no way to correct brightness, contrast etc. I can do that using my very cheap webcam. Why doesn't this work with my expensive DV camera? Does anybody know the answer?

Hello,

Your very cheap webcam's driver supports these properties, but the driver of the DV camera does not.
The DV Camera is used as DV device not as video capture device. I know no DV device, that support propierties like brightness, exposure, zoom, focus etc.

Hello,

Changing the brightness, contrast, white balance etc. of a DV video steam can be done in a video editing software. These properties are not available for DV playback because the DV video stream is recorded digitally. White balance can be modified only at recording time.
