Error with Windows API

I use a camera of the type DMK21F04 the Kamera works good with the sample applications but i want to use the Camera in my Project to find diverse objects in my project. I write my application with Visual C++ and i used the Video Capture functions but when i start the sample application in VidCap32 the Programm displays a messagebox that the format is not supported.
Have i made some mistakes during installation???
Can somone help me resolve this problem????

Hello,

You did nothing wrong by installing the driver. You have only found a limitation of the Video for Windows library.
The Video for Windows library does not support the Y800 format. I did some investigations to get more informations about the Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32) device wrapper, but i did not found any.
Therefore i suggest to implement the IC Imaging Control control class library as second device class in your application. You will get the image data from the class library and can use it for you algorithm.
