URGENT!!! - a live or die rotate question

hi, I really need an urgent help:
my company is testing this activex for a project and we encountered a big problem: I need to rotate the images (not only snapshot but on the fly) by 90 degrees - . I dont have a clue how to do it, can you please tell me what should I do and which way is the fastest one? please answer quickly (I only have until thursday).
one more thing - it must be done from v.b

Rotating a bitmap with Visual Basic is too slow to process it for a live video. This is, because you must copy the image pixel by pixel from the source to the rotated destination bitmap.

I found an article at microsoft.com, that describes, how to rotate a bitmap. But i think, this is much too slow to display a live display rotated around 90°.

You will only get acceptable results, if you write a C++ DLL, that contains a rotation function.
