Hello,

I'm updating my existing code, which until now has used the DCam AddOn to get properties like WhiteBalanceRed and WhiteBalanceBlue for my Sony DFW-SX900 camera.

However, it seems that the new ImagingControl does not have these properties, it only has one property called WhiteBalance (no red and blue). Why is that, does my sony camera no longer posess these properties?

Also a new property called BackLightCompensation is added. How can a property that didn't exist before on a certain piece of hardware suddenly pop-up?

I'm a bit puzzled, so I would be glad if you could give me some kind of explanation!..

Regards,
Ole Jakobsen

Ole,

The DCam properties DLL was renamed to DCAMPROP.DLL. A matching Visual Basic 6 module “DCAM.BAS” can be found in the “samples/vb6/DCam Firstapp” directory of the IC Imaging Control 1.41 installation.

The Backlight Compensation property existed before IC Imaging Control 1.41, but is was not explicitly programmed in the Visual Basic 6.0 sample applications.
