We want to install our application to client machines with a minimum of ( third Party ) files. Is it necessary to install your software on every client machine, or is it possible to copy a list of files ( libraries etc. ) only to make it work?

Hello,

Please refer to the manual of IC Imaging Control in the section "Introduction - Distributing your application".
There are all necessary files listed.
Also consider following: Before ICImagingControl.ocx (not needed in class library applications) is registered, the files TIS_UDSHL05.DLL, TIS_DSHOWLIB05.DLL and MSVCP60.DLL must copied on the client PC. Before the filters (*.ax) are registered on the client PC, the files MSVCP70.DLL and MSVCR70.DLL must be copied on the client PC. If this is not done, a error message with a text like "module not found" will occur.

Hello Stefan,

thanks for your reply.

You have a lot of information on your website, but sometimes it's difficult to find the right one ...

Looks like everything works as described.

One more question.

While using Visual Studio .NET 2003, we have the files msvcp71.dll and msvcr71.dll instead ( or additionally ) of 70 Version.

Is it enough to distribute this ones ?

While using the Imaging Control DLL's, is it enough to copy the _vc71.dll's
or do i have to copy the 05.dll files too ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Gerd

Gerd,

You need to copy the *05.DLL files too. You need also to copy the *_71.DLLs. I think, the *_70.DLLs are not longer used (except the MSC*70.DLLs)
