Crash with Windows XP

1) To connect the converter to my PC, i must use the Fire 1 or the Fire 2 ?

2) To install the converter driver, what is the difference between :
- installation with the ImagingSource drvInstaller.exe
- give the path of the inf file when windows detect the new peripherical

3) I have a lot of problem (crash) under Windows XP Home edition, when i plug/unplug USB or PCMCIA devices.
The same program is running correctly under Windows 2000.

Anybody can help me ?

Hello,

It is regardless, whether you use Fire1 or Fire2 of the DFG/1394-1. The DFG/1394-1e has only a FireWire input, that is to be connected to the computer and a daisy chain, that is used, to connect FireWire devices in sequence.

There are no differences between using the drvInstaller that comes with the DFG/13491-1 or the Hardware Wizard. It is more comfortable to use the drvInstaller.

To your last question: May be Service Pack 1 for Windows XP solves this problem.
