image processing project

Hi.
My project is consist of camera and object (let's say hand ) . I have to build an application which will be able to translate hand movements to sertain action .
The problen is that i don"t have appropriate background in image processing.
Can you tell me how can I do it ?

The motion detection is a very complex theme, so it cannot be handled in this forum. I think, the bettest way to start your research, is to investigate for "Motion Detection" in the internet.
With IC Imaging Control, you will be able to access all pixels of the incoming frames. With that, you can find edges and detect motions.
