View Full Version : CL20 and XP

My ePhoto CL20 doesn't work on XP Pro. I get the error 'Cannot find VFW driver'. The XP driver "AgfaCamCL20E.exe" from www.agfa.com did not help.
Please help. Thanks!

i assume, for this photo camera is no WDM /VfW driver available. Windows XP should recognize this camera as new mass storage device. From this device, you can copy the images as if they would be on a standard harddisc.

Check if the driver software is the current version for Windows XP.
The current version can be downloaded from the Agfa website at http://www.agfa.com/digicam_scanner_drivers/
Once the download is complete save it to a suitable location.
Follow the instructions to load all the required software that came with the CD ROM with the exception of the driver software.
Restart machine and install the driver software that you just downloaded.
Restart machine once again.
On desktop right click on My Computer and select Properties > Hardware > Device Manager.
Connect camera to USB socket on machine and switch on camera.
In the list of devices a new device should appear with the title Imaging devices together with USB Device and an exclamation mark in front.
Right click the mouse button on USB Device. In the drop down window that pops up click on Update Driver.
Once the driver update is complete the wording ‘USB Device’ will change to ‘ePhoto CL20 WDM Video Capture’.
Setup is now complete for using the camera with Netmeeting or with Arcsoft VideoImpression 1.6.
Close Device Manager and System Properties Windows.
Please take care when working in the Device Manager window. If in doubt seek help.
Under FAQ’s please look at the information given at the following address on the Agfa website at http://www.agfa.com/digicam_scanner_drivers/faq/#faq27

The procedure given above worked for me. Good luck to all and Happy Video Conferencing.
