I'm using Imaging Control with a Sony miniDV Handycam. The properties ZoomAvailable, ContrastAvailable, BrightnessAvailable, and SharpnessAvailable all return False. But in your Scrolling and Zooming example, you ignore ZoomAvailable and instead use LiveDisplayZoomFactor, which does exactly what is desired.

What's the difference between Zoom and LiveDisplayZoomFactor?

The properties like zoom, brightness etc. must be provided by the driver of the video capture device.

The zoom, that is done in the scroll and zoom example is a digital zoom on the video image. It magnifies only the image. The zoom optics of your camera is not controled by this example.
