Control DV camera

Hello

If I have a Sony DV camera connected to my computer with IEEE1394 or USB. would it then be possible to control zoom and focus on the camera with
Imagingcontrol ActiveX before I capture a picture ?

Hello,

The WDM stream class driver for DV devices does not provide a functionality to remote control the zoom lens. I doubt that it is possible to control the zoom lens over the FireWire bus, but I am not a 100% sure.
There are a few DV camcorders available that can be used as a web cam. Maybe these models allow to control the lens.
