View Full Version : Access live video from another PC

I have just started looking into this active-X and can handle the idea that you can work with video captured from devices connected to this PC. However I would like to get live images onto a different PC.
I think it could be done by creating lots of small images and getting them picked up by the other PC.
However is it possible for the Active-X to produce a video stream using one of the codecs that could be taped into by the other PC rather than saving the video off to file?

Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I think, it is not possible, to write an AVI file that can be streamed in from another PC while it is created.
You first idea to save a picture in a defined time intervall an read it out from another PC is a suitable way. This works like a webcam.
