Problem with XP

Hallo,

I use a Dell Inspiron 8200 Notebook with Windows XP Professional.
I have connected a Sony X700 over FireWire Hub and installed the
Sony WDM Driver.
I can run the Demo Application from IC 1.4 and view the live-image.

When I disconnect the camera while the Demo Applicatin is running
the system crashs and I get a bluescreen.

When I connect the same configuration to W2K Notebook everything
is ok.

What can I do ?

Hello,

The problem is caused by the Sony driver. Under XP the driver has a problem if the device is removed from the bus while a video stream is running. Under certain circumstances the driver may crash the system if the device is removed.
We reported the bug to Sony. They will solve the problem in a new driver release.

By the way, which driver version are you using ?
