Hi ,

i capture an avi file via firewire (Sony Cam) and using codec DV Encoder and the file bit rate
it´s 749 Kbps, The quality of the file is not fine, and it´s so big ( As any file in dv codec )

How can i put a higger bit rate like > 1mgps in my capture file. I want high quality videos and don´t care about the size.

How can i take the best quality, Bite rate, Filters , other codec ???

DV has a fixed bit rate of 25 Mbit/s = 3,125 Mbyte/s.
Your calulation must be wrong. There is no way that a DV data stream has 749kbit/s or 749 kbyte/s.

A few questions:

1) Are you using a DV camcorder or an industrial FireWire camera (like the DFW-V500)?
2) Please tell me the camera model that you are using.

This information is not correct. If you take the amount of mega bytes occupied by the avi and devide this by 3,125 you should get the duration of the avi in seconds.
