When we use TextControl to export to PDF the file size of the document is roughly about 300Kb.
If we use the PDF Writer driver to create the file, the size is only 6-7Kb.
Why is this?

Hello Chris
TX Text Control exports all used fonts to the PDF document. Currently we try to be very compatible with all operating systems, so that they can be viewed and printed by anyone, anywhere across a broad range of hardware and software.
We will work on further techiques to decrease the size of the documents in the future. Thank you for your request.

When will the new PDF filter published? As the file size is huge, the pdf documents are not 'portable' for internet traffic.

Hello Gunthard
It is planned to ship this improved filter with the next .NET free update. This update is planned for march/april 2003. I am sure that this improved filter will be available in the OCX version with the same time in a service pack.

Hi Björn,
The improved PDF filter in the OCX would it possibly include the ability to set the DPI of the PDF.
Thanks

We also get very large PDF files. This can create a big storage problem if you create 100's of PDF a day - like us!
