At last we got new text control version with pdf filter.
The quality of files saved in pdf format (parameter = 12) is very good but the size of generated files seems to be very high, sometimes 10 times larger than rtf or doc files, reaching 1Mb in case of reports of 6/8 pages.
Is there any mean to reduce size of pdf files generated by text control?
Thank you in advance

Hello Fausto

The PDF documents are larger, because all fonts will be included in the PDF document. The advantage of this technique is that the PDF can be viewed across all platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, ...) and the document looks similar on every machine. Perhaps we will make this adjustable in a future version, but currently it is not possible.

Bjorn, I think an option to inbed the fonts or not would be very desirable. As I recall PDF originally only supported 4 fonts, Courier, Arial, Times New Roman, and ?Symbol. We'd be happy with just those 4, having the filter substitute the standard in the class.
